Rimbaud wrote once a poem where he free-associated a certain color for each of the vowels. The green color was the "U", and the description was as follows:
"
U, waves, divine shudderings of viridian seas,
the peace of pastures dotted with animals, the peace of the furrows
which alchemy prints on broad studious foreheads;
"

Language is perception, and peace can also be violent - as with this photo.
