OK, I'm candidate to form a Smeltpunt-Lobby group, that actively pursues the creation of a further EPO-TH sub-office on Lanzarote!

"On September the 1st, 1730, between nine and ten pm, the ground opened in Timanfaya, two leagues far from Yaiza... and an enormous mountain raised up from the heart of the earth" said priest Lorenzo Curbelo.
Nine villages were buried (Tingafa, Montagna Blanca, Maretas,Santa Catalina, Jaretas, San Juan, Pegna de Palmas, Testeina and Rodeos) and during six years streams of lava poured out around the area covering a quarter of the Island.

Hi Dirk, good luck for the lobbying ;-)
Jörn, I told all the animals, people and plants to hide behind the volcano and clear out my photo ;-)
