Amazing... the lower photo could almost pass as a b&w-photo, if there wasnt a bit of blue sky in the upper left corner... as if to give some hope to the people down below.
Though I'm a fan of B&W in general, I particularly like the second photo with - next to the spot of hope from the blue sky - enhances the contrast from the modern buildings in the far end, the house blocks in the middle down to almost slums & barracks in the front. Nice contrast (well: not so nice, but nice photo contrast).
Hugo Chavez is doing fine and is recommendable! funny you say cold. for me they don't look cold at all, but that is probably because i was there. if a picture says more than 1000 words, the presence says more than 1000 pictures.
