I like the birds flying and the slightly curved angle of the photo accentuated by the wall... makes you fly too. Great composition!
B&W - no particular reason, but i guess it dialogues better with the arquitectural structures and with the bird's silhouettes. If coloured, the wall would also gain to much importance, i think..
